4.1 Drumpler

Drumpler is a classic drum machine and sample pad player. It allows you to load individual audio samples (like kicks, snares, and hi-hats) onto 12 virtual pads and trigger them using MIDI notes.

  • Drum Pads: The 12 square pads onto which you load individual drum sounds. Clicking a pad selects it and shows the waveform of the loaded sound above.
  • Waveform Display: Shows the waveform shape of the selected drum sample. The yellow triangles at the bottom corners can be dragged to change exactly where the sound starts and ends corresponding to Start and End knobs.
  • Velocity: Adjusts how strongly the specific pad reacts to how hard you hit your MIDI keys.
  • Level: Controls the individual volume of the selected pad.
  • Pan: Pans the selected sound left or right.
  • Pitch: Tunes the selected drum hit up or down.
  • Start / End: Knobs that fine-tune the start and end points of the sample playback.
  • Group: Assigns the pad to a "choke group." If two pads share the same group number/ playing one will instantly mute the other.

Note: Assigning drum samples to the same group is most commonly used for open hihat and closed hihat samples to emulate real drumkit.
