3.5 Arrangement Timeline

The Arrangement Timeline is the central grid where audio and MIDI clips are placed and arranged. Time flows from left to right, divided by bars and beats.



 Timeline Controls

  • Playhead: The vertical line indicating the current position in the project. Click anywhere on the timeline ruler to reposition it.
  • Loop Locator: The green bracket on the timeline ruler defining the loop region. Drag the center to move it, or drag either handle to adjust the start and end points.

Top Right buttons:

  • Snap to Grid (N): When enabled, clips and notes snap to the nearest grid line when moved.
  • Settings (Cmd/Ctrl+,): Opens the Studio Settings window.
  • Sound Library: Toggles the Sound Library panel.

These controls located at the bottom of the Arrangement Timeline adjust your view of it.

  • Horizontal Zoom Slider: Drag right to zoom in, left to zoom out.
  • Vertical Zoom Slider: Drag up to zoom in, down to zoom out.
  • Scrollbar: Drag to scroll along the timeline.
