3.8 Device Panel

Located at the bottom of the Studio, the Device Panel displays the instrument and effect chain for the currently selected track. It operates in two states: Standard Device Chain or Super Preset Panel.

Standard Device Chain

Signal flows from left to right. Instruments are placed first, followed by effects. Each effect in the chain processes the output of all devices before it.

Each device has a header containing:

  • Power Button: Bypasses the device without removing it from the chain.
  • Device Name: Displays the name of the loaded device.
  • Edit Button (optional): Opens the device's interface popup window — a separate panel for detailed parameter editing and preset selection. Present on instruments and effects that have dedicated full interfaces.
  • Device Context Menu (right-click on header): Contains Cut, Copy, Paste, Duplicate, Delete, and Replace commands.

Note: Cut, Duplicate, and Remove are disabled for the first instrument in the chain.

  • + Add Effect: Located at the far right of the chain. Opens a menu for inserting built-in effects or VST3 plugins.

Super Preset Panel

When a Super Preset is loaded, the Device Panel displays the Super Preset Panel instead of the standard chain.

  • Side Controls: Panel located on the left contains Volume Fader, Pan Dial, Mute, and Solo controls, along with the Super Preset browser button.
  • Unified Control Panel: Displays key sound-shaping parameters for the loaded preset (e.g., Shape, Filter Cutoff, Reverb Size). These controls map to the most impactful parameters of the underlying devices.
  • Gear Icon: Located in the top-right corner. Expands the underlying device chain for full parameter editing.
