3.6 Track Headers

Each track has a Track Header to the left of the Arrangement Timeline containing controls for that track.

  • Track Name and Icon: Displays the track name and an icon indicating track type: a microphone icon for Audio tracks, a keyboard icon for Instrument tracks. Audio tracks are used for imported audio files (WAV, MP3, OGG, FLAC, AIFF) and live recordings. Instrument tracks are used for MIDI data and virtual instruments. Double-click the name to rename the track.
  • Mute (M): Silences the track.
  • Solo (S): Isolates the track, silencing all others.
  • Show Automation (A): Toggles automation lane visibility and cycles through automated parameters.
  • Arm for Record (R): Arms the track for audio or MIDI recording. Audio input source is configured in Settings.
  • Volume Slider: Adjusts the track output level in decibels.
  • Pan Dial: Positions the track in the stereo field.

Master Track Header

Track header located at the very bottom represents the Master Track that sums all tracks into a single stereo output. It has no Mute, Solo, or Pan controls. Effects added to the Master Track are applied to the full mix.
