Studio Overview

The Studio is the main production environment in Amped Studio, distinct from the Dashboard. All recording, arranging, editing, and mixing takes place here.

Amped Studio main screen is divided into the following zones:

  • Tool Bar: The horizontal strip across the top containing transport controls, editing tools, tempo settings, and project management buttons.
  • Arrangement Timeline: The central grid where audio and MIDI clips are placed and arranged over time. Track Headers run along the left edge.
  • Sound Library: A collapsible panel on the right side for browsing and loading content into your project.
  • Editor Panels: Note Editor and Audio Editor used for editing Audio Clip and MIDI Clip contents. Editors open up by double-clicking a Clip.
  • Device Panel: Located at the bottom of the screen. Displays the signal chain for the currently selected track, including all loaded instruments, effects, and Super Presets.
The following sections of this chapter cover each of these parts of the Studio in detail.
