Effects

Audio effects are used to shape, alter, and enhance the sound of your instruments and audio clips. You add them by clicking the + Add Effect button located at the far right of the Device Panel at the bottom of the screen.

Understanding Effect Views
Amped Studio effects come in two different layout types depending on how complex they are:

  • Full Interface: Advanced effects (like the Equalizer, Compressor, and guitar amp sim effects) feature an Edit button on their top header. Clicking this opens a large, pop-up window with deep, detailed controls. These effects also have a simplified control pannel in the bottom Device Panel at the bottom of your screen for quick access to the most important knobs.
  • Device Panel Only: Many effects (like Delay, Chorus, Reverb, Bitcrusher, and "Mini" plugins like Comp Mini or EQ Mini) do not have an Edit button. All of their controls sit directly on the simplified panel at the bottom of your screen, making them perfect for quick adjustments.
